WHO WE ARE
The Institute for History and Healing, Inc. transcends demographic divides of the past to engage, empower, and ally communities for the future.
Staked on pillars of Knowledge/Memory, Placemaking, Storytelling, and Innovation/Technology we work to heal a world of difference born of the intercultural impacts of enslavement, genocide, and other human rights violations.
As it is said: "The stories we tell become the world we live in." Stewards of the past; shareholders in the future, we endeavor to tell a better story. Our mission spans historic preservation, habitat conservation, tourism and economic development, archaeological inquiry, film and media production, and special events. Our vision: “We change how the history of the past is told in order to change how the history in the future is lived.”
The Institute for History and Healing, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation incorporated in the State of New York.
